An inquest was held to-day npon the body of a man whose name is uncertain, but who is supposed to be a? dynamlter,*found dead in the city, The polioe testified that the deceased was oonneoted with the Clan-na-Qael organisation, the ohiefs of which (Miller and Melville) were in London during Jubilee celebrations. It was also stated that Melville and deoeased, had visited the House of Commons in company, and that Mr Joseph Nolan (Nationalist), member for Louth, did the honors on that occasion. The coroner's jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence — viz., that deceased's death was caused by bronchitis.

FRENCH POLITICS. PARIS, October 28.

A stormy meeting took place to-day at Tours. During the progress of the elections, which are taking place in that city, speeches were made expressing extreme dissatisfaction with the explanation given regarding the alleged complicity of M. Daniel Wilson, son-in-law of the President, in the recent War Office scandals. The charges were reiterated, and the speakers demanded that M. Wilson should resign office.

LONDON, October 26. 'Le Soliel' states that the Suez Canal Convention between England and France is valueless while England retains possession of Aden and the island of Pernio, situated at the entrance to the Red Sea. A rumor has been renewed that the Marquis of Hartington and Lord Randolph Churchill will join the Ministry. The motion to appoint a committee to inquire into the Caffarel scandal has been carried ih the Chamber of Deputies, despite the opposition of the Government. SignorCrispi, inhis speech at Turin, deprecated the rumors which have gained currency that Italy was hostile to France. He contended that the alliance ot the three countries who were in accord with England was not meant as a menace to the other Powers. The alliance, he hoped, would tend to develop the autonomy of the Balkan provinces, and would guarantee the unimpaired liberty of the Church of Rome. He therefore claimed that they should be treated with respect in return. Several of the ringleaders in the plot to murder Prince Ferdinand and MM. Stambuloff and Matchevitch, have been arrested

Prince Ferdinand has advanced L 40,000 out of his private means to complete the Bulgarian railways. Tecmer rows Gaudaur to-day for the Championship of America. The Crown Prince of Germany has refused a Frenchman's legacy of several million francs.

Premier Crispi'a speech has produced a strong impression in St. Petersburg. He stated that the central Powers have agreed to develop the local autonomy of the Balkan natiqns as far as the existing treaties will permit. The Right and Extreme Left of the French Chamber have coalesced in order to carry the Army Scandals Committee, If President Grevy supports M. Wilson, the Rouvior Ministry will be shaken.
