4 notorious criminal named Thomas Furlong, just discharged from Pentridge, was brought before the Coburg Court, and pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to introduce tobacco into the prison. He was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment, and was removed to a form near the door. He jumped out, got outside, and was clambering over the fence, when he was captured. For this attempt he received an additional twelve months. On being sentenced he remarked to the Bench : “ All right, I'll be one with you for that.” !
