Our Society 'or tho Prevention of Cruelty to Animals should endeavor to punish the sender of these pigs. Was no one's attention drawn to tho p gs before the animals reached Southland ? Whoro were our railway officials to allow the animals to pass through ? 1 can safely say that their condition was noticed in Duncdin, and many persons cried out "shame." The attention of the Dunedin inspector for cruelty to animals was, I am told, drawn to the matter.
