DEPUTATION TO THE PREMIER.
AUCKLAND, April 5. # A temperance deputation, headed by Sir William Fox, waited on the Premier to-day, requesting him to say something in his address to-night on the subject of temperance lesson-books in schools. Sir William said he would also like to hear the Premier's views op the Femalo Suffrage Bill to be introduced by the Government. Sir R. Stout said he votad for the wpman franchise in 1877, and Sir \V. Fox remarked that he did the same.
