HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—ln reading your issue of last night's Stab I wa3 struck with the truthfulness of ray fellow-sufferer as regards the holidays, Now, Mr Editor, I hold in my hand a prospectus of the Boya' High School, and these are the statements which I copy from it:—" There are vacations of eight weeks at Christmas, and of two weeks at mid-winter, and the following special holidays are observed—March 23rd, April 11th and 14th, May 24th. October 3rd and sth, and November 9th." Let me ask you if from the 17ch of December, 1883, till February 11th, 1884, is eight weeks? As a fellow-sufleror, and one who believes that actions speak louder than words, I ask that we may have this wrong made right at once. May not the Board of Governors, as those who have power, extend tho time and let us know by advertisement in your columns. By acknowledging the truth of what we sufferers say the wound will be healed.—l am, etc., Sufferer No. 2, Dunedin, December 21.
