Captain Russell's Escopeta, 3 yrs, 7st 131b .. 1 Mr Reihana's Hcretfliinjfi, ftfed, !)st lib .. .. 2 Mr Reihana's Kuni, aged, 9st 131b .. ..3 Fear Not, Comet, Radames, Waewaetika, Jacob, and Briar also started. Fear Not, Heretaunga, and Escopeta alternately led till the turn for home, when the latter got away and won easily. Radames pulled up lame. Flying Handicap, of 100 sovs. Three-quarters of a mile Captain Russell's Leonora, 4 yrs, Ssfc 101b .. .. 1 Mr P. Martin's Mischief, G yrs, 9st 71b .. .. 2 Mr N. Ruddock's Yankee, 4 yrs, 7st "lb .. .. 3 Kalo (Bst 101b), Kingask (7st 101b), Kuni (7st), Carmen (6st 101b), and Scud (Gst 81b) also ran. Leonora jumped off with the lead, and was never caught, winning by two lengths. The Hack Hurdle Race, of 30 sovs, was won by Gundagai, and the Hick Ra,ce, of 20 sovs, by the same horse.
