THE TWO THOUSAND GUINEAS.

The race for the Two Thousand Guineas was run at Newmarket to-day, with the following result Shotover .. .. .. ..1 SuickTime .. .. .. 2 aiden . .. ~ ~ .. S
The Wellington Racing Club have endorsed the disqualification of Randwick and his owner for ever, and of J. C. Williams (who rode the horse) for two years The amount of the Westland Handicap (L 65) has been awarded to Mr Dodson, as the owner of Dick, under the following circumstances:—Shortly after the race was run (Talent taking first place, Longlands second, and Dick third) it transpired that the acceptances of the two first-named horses had been sent in an hour after the advertised time for acceptances closing. Mr Freeth, who took Dick to the Coast, at once commenced an action for the recovery of the stakes, and the affair was settled by the Club handing the money over to the owner of Dick.
