MR REYNOLDS'S BENEFIT.
The great popularity in which Mr Roynolds is held, both aa an actor and manage?, was fully testified to by the large audience which filied the Queen Theatre laat evening—lndeed, it iB many a long day since wo havo seen so many persons crowded into thin now popular place or amusement. Robertson's famcua comedy "Caste" was lha main attraction. Mr Reynolds, aa Eccle?, essayed a new rdle, bat we cannot say he scored a Blueses. There was not that genuine fan which used to be obtained when ■i ■•eing either the late R. \V. Lawrence or P. M. B itoa in this character. Miis Bsaudet and •Yli*B Hathswfty were well suited aa the sisters Ecclea. Mr Fibher made a decided hit as Sam Gorridge, the tuccesa of the laat act being in a great measure due to him. A word of commendation is also due to Messrs C*thcart aid Hall. At the close i of the drniru Mr Reynolds thanked those present for tho handsome bernfi!; accorded I

Herr Bandmsnn then g.va some readings in a faultless manner, and wa? listened to . with wrapt attention Ho mentioned that a great honor had boen done, aot only to ' him but to bis country, by some gentlemen requesting him to give a recitation in> German, and he had great pleseuro in acceding to tho request. Shylock's spseoh to Antopio waa then given in both English mid German, and Mr B.>ndm inn's delivery' was l'sfcenod fri with marked Interest. For to-night a double bill is announced—" East jLynne" and " The Corsican Brollum*' for the last time. Tho performance com- | mences at a quarter te e-ght.
