A communication, signed by Mr J. L. Ferguson on behalf of the head masters of the various schools, was read, requesting that the holidays should commence on the 12th instead of the 19th December, and should conclude on the 2Gth January, as usual. The reason urged for the extension of time was the examination of pupil teachers, which left the schools without a sufficient number of masters to conduct the work.—Some discussion ensued, but ultimately the suggestion of the schoolmasters was adopted.
