The s.s. Maori sailed on Saturday evening for her usual monthly trip to West Coast ports via Lyttelton.

The topsail schooner Jessie Niool, with cargo for Taranaki, sailed yesterday morning. The s.s. Oreti, with cargo and passengers from the Bluff, arrived at Port Chalmers at 73C a.m. yesterday. After landing 88 sheep at the railway pier she steamed up to Dunedin. She left the Bind at 7 30 p m. on Saturday, and had fresh S.W. winds along the coast to arrival. Tlie s.s. Wakaiipu, with 100 tons of cargo and a number of passengers from Sydney, via Wellington and Lyttelton, arrived at 8 this morning. She left Sydney at 8.30 p m. on the 2nd inat, cleared the Heads at 4 p.m. with a strong head wind and sea. This weather continued right across, and she arrived at Wellington at 2.80 p.m. on the 7th ; discharged 200 tons of cargo, and left again for Lyttelton at 4 p.m. next day, and reached that port at 9.30 a.m, on the 9th; after landing forty passengers and 160 ‘ons of cargo, she left for Port Chalmers at 10.80 a m. on the 10th, having experienced strong head winds and sea from Wellington to arrival.
