WANTS TO VISIT FRANCE
Rec 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 21. Paris radio reports that the Prime Minister of the Spanish "shadow"-Re-r-üblican Government, Dr. Jose Giral, has applied to the French Consul in Mexico for a visa to visit France. As France still recognises Franco. Dr Giral told the Conrul he was going to France not as head of the Republican Government, but as a private citizen. _______«.———
Sir Patrick Duff. High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, and Lady Duff will leave Wellington today and will be returning on December 27.
