GOODS DERAILMENT
MAIN LIME DELAY
Through the derailment of several wagons of an early morning goods train near Plimmerton station, originating m the breaking of ah axle, morning traffic on the Main Trunk line was delayed and somewhat disorganised for some hours today, but the inconvenience was not great and no material damage was done. The line was cleared just after 7 a.m., ibut the delay meant that the relief Auckland express, due at Wellington at 6.46, did not arrive until 7.55 a.m., .and .the ordinary Auckland express arrived en hour and five minutes late, at 8.5. Suburban passenger trains were affected, but the first through express ■picked up workers at stations between Plimmerton and Wellington. Outward trains got away on time.
