D. Marks has Tumere and Kuri in, steady work, and they are both likely to run prominently at the Martbn Meeting on January 12, when Tumere is to contest the open six furlongs. Glamour Girl may have her next race at Marton. This three-year-old Coronach —Kremhield filly has only had one start, when she got left. H. Benge has her in splendid order, and if she does it right on the day she should be handy at the finish, as she knows how to gallop. Mr. J. Nicholson, who formerly owned and trained Pin Money, has a two-year-old filly by Arvakur out of a Hunting Song mare in work. She is a racy-looking sort, but it will be some time befor she is ready.

K. Chote intends doing the.Taranaki meetings, and his mounts on Boxing Day include Fort Royal, Captain Crusoe, Dis\ Platamon. Boden Park, and Windsor Star.

The track yesterday morning was in good order after overnight rain, but the horses had to face half a gale of wind in the straight. Court Crier, Mr; Pym, and Dancing Girl were associated in a spin over half a mile, but they were not required to do their best.
