TO REAPPEAR AT MARTON

D. Marks has Tumere and Kuri in, steady work, and they are both likely to run prominently at the Martbn Meeting on January 12, when Tumere is to contest the open six furlongs. Glamour Girl may have her next race at Marton. This three-year-old Coronach —Kremhield filly has only had one start, when she got left. H. Benge has her in splendid order, and if she does it right on the day she should be handy at the finish, as she knows how to gallop. Mr. J. Nicholson, who formerly owned and trained Pin Money, has a two-year-old filly by Arvakur out of a Hunting Song mare in work. She is a racy-looking sort, but it will be some time befor she is ready.

K. Chote intends doing the.Taranaki meetings, and his mounts on Boxing Day include Fort Royal, Captain Crusoe, Dis\ Platamon. Boden Park, and Windsor Star.

The track yesterday morning was in good order after overnight rain, but the horses had to face half a gale of wind in the straight. Court Crier, Mr; Pym, and Dancing Girl were associated in a spin over half a mile, but they were not required to do their best. Court Crier finished a neck in front of Mr. Pym in 52sec. with Dancing Girl close up. Court Crier has come on well since his race at Woodville, and Mr. Pym is also improved. Both should run prominently at Awapuni. Dancing Girl is to contest the fillies' race, but is not quite ready yet. Hulabaloo (R. Burt) hit out freely in running seven furlongs in 1.33. The Baffles geldiug promises to earn some money on the Taranaki circuit. Kilarney Boy (K. Chote) ran six furlongs in 1.19 without being kicked out. The first half-mile took 50sec. Red Chief (Burt) and Michael (Cho,te) were xssociated in a good working gallop over seven furlongs, the last six in 1.2U-.

Stony Broke and Sketch were restricted to three-quarter pace work over six furlongs. Stony Broke is to race at Awapuni on the second day, his mission being the mile and a quarter event. His trainer plans to miss the third day at Awapuni and go on to Stratford with Stony Broke and Sketch. * Sketch will contest the Trial at Awapuni on the second day. Later on the Leighon gelding will be tried over Alright (lvil) showed that he is all the better for his race at Otaki by skipping over the first half-mile of a six-furlong spin in 48sec, but the strong head wind over the last quarter steadied him up. the time for the full distance being 1.15 4-5 The Inflation gelding should run out a merry seven furlongs at Awapuni ou Boxing Day.
