PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE.
Estates to the value of £643,995 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during November. The total value of estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on March 31, 1945, was £67,867,066, and the new business for the eight months ended November 30 was £5,593,044. Grants of administration in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 337 for the month. During the month 517 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor'were prepared, and 456 wills were revised. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Office on behalf of living persons is 131,314.
A request by the Petone War Memorial Community Centre committee that the Hutt River Board should sponsor an entrant in the forthcoming queen carnival was not entertained at a meeting of the board this week.
