CONGO'S WARTIME ROLE
The Belgian Congo played a dramatic wartime role in furnishing uranium for atom bomb research and development. Belgian and American engineers who worked in the Congo say that millions of dollars' worth of American machinery was employed during the working of the uranium deposits.
