LORDS AND COMMONS DIFFER

The House of Commons and the House of Lords reached entirely different decisions yesterday the lifting of the ban on divulging proceedings at wartime secret sessions.
The motion to lift the ban was withdrawn, in the Lords after strong opposition. The Commons, however, agreed that the ban should be lifted after the Leader of the House, Mr. Morrison, had given an assurance to members that they would be adequately protected, both inside and outside the House, against irresponsible or malicious misquotation.
