PARIS, December 19
The French Assembly's constitutional commission decided today that the future President-of the Fourth Republic should be elected for a sixyear term and should be eligible for re-election only once. The President under the Third Republic was ineligible for re-election. . The commission also decided in favour of maintaining the institution of Premier by declaring for the exclusion of the President of the Republic as being simultaneously President of the Cabinet.
