The high figure of 100 cancellations of passages on the inter-island steamer was recorded on one day this week, but there: is still more traffic offering than the service can accept. ■; The Union Steam Ship Company has repeated its request that passengers not able to travel should cancel their accommodation at the earliest possible moment in order to permit it to be redistributed.
Passengers to Lyttelton tonight are advised that the Wahine will not arrive in Wellington until 7.30 this evening. She will leave again for Lyttelton at 9.3o_lL2L__-____««—_
