NEW LEGISLATION
FREEZING WORKERS APPROVE
The following resolution, approving of. legislation recently passed by the Government, was carried at a meeting of workers of the Tomoana branch of the Freezing Workers' Union. Hawke's Bay, or. Thursday:—
"That this massed meeting of 600 workers at Tomoana branch Freezing Workers' Union congratulates the Government on the introduction of the Factories Amendment Bill and the passing ot the 40-hour week for freezing workers, and assures the Government we will maintain full production of output, and where it is impracticable to kill stock on five days of the week we will work on Saturday mornings, and, further, we will kiU such offerings between Christmas ana New Year holidays."
