A WORD OF THANKS

Sir, —May I ask for a few lines to thank the motorists who, in the war years, took pity on boys anxious to get home during the period when railway and motor transport was unavailable. Many of these boys started out from camps on foot and were picked up by kind and thoughtful motoris.ts and brought" to within reach of their homes. One of my boys, who some few months ago lost his life in the Ferine area, was often befriended in this way, and I would like to put on record my heartfelt gratitude to the people who were generous in this way. —I am, etc., A GRATEFUL PARENT.
