BILL APPEARS IN COMMONS
LONDON, November 14,
The Housing Bill, read a first time in the House of Commons, seeks power for the bulk purchase by the Government of materials and components and complete prefabricated homes. The Bill fixes maximum prices for houses built under licence, and also rents for letting. Local authorities have a limit of £400 for the purchase of a house, and the interest will be at 3_ per cent.
