READY FOR TRIAL
SHIMADA'S APOLOGY FOR
PEARL HARBOUR Uec. 9.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Sept. 13
A Domei news agency report says that Admiral Shimada, the Japanese Minister of the Navy at the time of Pearl Harbour, who is prepared for trial by the Allies, stated: "Once I wanted to show my apology by committing suicide, but I changed jny mind and have calmly waited for this day. It is natural that I have to be detained as a war criminal. There is nothing to say. I have no excuse to make for the Emperor and the people."
