NO U.S. DAVIS CUP TEAM THIS

NEW YORK, September 6. The United States Lawn Tennis Association has decided against sending American teams abroad this year. The president of the New England Tennis Association, Mr. Joseph Thurston, said he believed Davis Cup matches would not be played until 1947. By then the nations would have discovered talent worthy of striving for the trophy. Mr. and Mrs. Perrin, of Wallaceville, have been admitted to the associateship of the Royai Institute of Chemistry of Great Britain and Irelard (A.R.1.C.). Mrs. Perrin, who is on the staff of the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture, has specialised in the investigation of metallic contaminants in dairy produce, while Mr. P6rrin, who is attached to the Animal Research Division, has concentrated on trace metals . in biological materials.
