MANAGER RETIRES
The general manager and director of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (N.Z.), Ltd.. Mr. P. W. Maddock, is retiring. He joined the company when it was first formed in 1926, and was in charge of the publicity for many outstanding pictures. He was appointed to the sales staff in 1927, and in 1930 was made general manager and director of the company. He was elected president of the 33 Club in April, and presided at the club's reception to Gracie Fields and her party.
