It was an off-morning, but there were a few gallops. Lily Ann sprinted hali a mile in 50£ sec, hitting out attractively. One of T. Webster's two-year-olds a youngster by Royal Chief, slipped over three furlongs in 38 4-ssec. doinf it nicely. Hulabaloo and Well Armed were associated in a seven-furlong spin, finishing on terms in 1.34, the latter going particularly well. Leybourne, with his trainer in the saddle, ran three furlongs in 39 l-ssec. He was pulling hard, and appears all the better for his race at New Plymouth.
