VICEREGAL.
Government House, Wellington, September 5. His Excellency the Governor-Gene-ral held a public investiture in the [Town Hall this evening. Her Excellency Lady Newall was present at the ceremony. War correspondents C. R. Mentiplay and G. Keay, members of the staff of the ''Evening Post," were amongst those in the draft which returned today from service overseas. The Rev. J. T. Holland, Vicar of Featherston prior to going overseas as a chaplain with' the 2nd N.Z.E.F., returned by the Strathaird today. He is a son of the Bishop of Wellington.
