IMMEDIATE END TO THEIR ARMY
ASSISTANCE TO ALLIES
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) Eec. 1.30 p.m. TOKIO, Sept. 4. General Mac Arthur has ordered the Japanese to demobilise immediately and disband their army, says a C.B.S. correspondent. The directive also ordered the Japanese to clear mines and other obstructions from their harbours, and supply oil, labour, housing, and airfields for the forces of occupation.
