VICTIMS OF ARGENTINE REGIME
BUENOS AIRES, September 4. Two hundred and fifty, men and women who were released from gaol have started a joint Court action accusing the Buenos Aires police of torturing them while they were held as political prisoners in the last two years. Most of the people swore an. affidavit that they were tortured with electric spurs in an attempt to force confessions arid to oblige them to disclose their underground associates. The spur transmitted a strong current into the body and affected the nervous system. Others alleged they were brutally kicked and beaten with clubs and bare fists.
