HUTT ROTARY
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The annual meeting of the Rotary Club of Hutt was held last week. Motions of sympathy with the families of the late Mr. Thomas Waugh. a charter member of the club, and Past District Governor Will Thomas were recorded. The following officers were elected for the year 1945-46:—Presi-dent, Mr. J. A. Jacques; vice-presi-dent, Mr. Maurice Ralph; immediate past president, Mr. C. H. Griffin; directors, Messrs. C. E. Moran, L. V. Phillips, H. D. Guthrie, and G. R. Pitkethley; sergeant-at-arms, Mr. Fred Elbe; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J. Gearing; hon. auditor, Mr. A. Ackroyd. The following club committees were set up:—Club service, classification and membership, programme, fellowship and hospitality. Rotary information, public information, sports and entertainment, music, new ' members, youth, vocational service, community service, international service.
