BRITISH BUDGET
T.U.C. MAKES CLAIMS"
LONDON, September 2. The right to take part in framing Britain's fiscal policy is claimed by the General Council of the Trades Union Congress in a report which will be submitted to the annual conference opening in Blackpool on September 10, states the "Daily Telegraph." The report states that the T.U.C., as representative of the interests of the working people, both as producers and consumers, should be consulted by the Government in determining fiscal policy. It would be appropriate for the T.U.C. to issue annually before the Budget a statement embodying suggestions for immediate changes in the tax structure and the Government's financial policy.
