Victoria League Luncheon. Members of the Victoria League are reminded of the luncheon to be held in the league's rooms tomorrow at 12.15 p.m. Vacation Dance at Karori. The Karori sub-branch of the Plunket Society will hold a vacation dance in the Parish Hall, Karori, next Saturday evening. Mrs. Bede Lewis is convener. Victory Club Evening. The Victory Club held, a ' pleasant gathering recently for one of its members, Miss Thelma Slack, who is to be married shortly. Miss Slack, who was on the club's committee for two and a half years, was presented with a gift as a token, of the esteem of her fellow club members. League of Mothers' Meeting. At the annual meeting of the Wellington South branch of the League of Mothers Mrs. P. M. Cameron was reelected president and Mrs. C. E. Rankin secretary. The report and balance sheet, which showed good progress by the league were read. Duets were sung by Mesdames Adams and Wootten and elocutionary items given by Mrs. Cullen.
