SPRING DANCE
NATIONAL UNION PEACE CELEBRATION
"Spring Heralds the Peace" was the bright motto prominent upon one wall of the National Clubrooms when the National Union held a spring dance on Saturday evening. Large bowls of magnolias, rhododendioa, and japonica and small posies of spring flowers were tastefully arranged about the rooms. The walls were decorated with realistic bunches of cardboard daffodils tied with cellophane bows, giving a further spring-time note to decorations.
The colourful frocking of the dancers also brightened the three rooms in use for the evening.
Members of the committee responsible for the arrangements for this highly-successful gathering wera Misses M. Hunt, C. and M. Hogarth-Gill, M. Ogilvie, B. Van Staveren, Messrs. R. R. Roberts, C. Monro, and C. Hobbs. Among the dancers were Mrs. K. Parkinson (vice-president), Mesdames M. Y. Bates, and Bennie.
