FORMED IN POLAND
NEW POLITICAL PARTY
Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, September 2. Warsaw radio says that a new political organisation, the Polish Peasant Party, has been formed, with the backing of the Government of National Unity. The Vice-Premier, Mr. Mikolajczyk, and the Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Kiernick, signed the communique announcing the formation. , , Reuters diplomatic correspondent writes that so far little information on the immediate cause of differences within the Peasant Party which led to the organisation of the new party is available, but it is believed that following the return of its leader, Mr. Mikolaiczyk, from London, the struggle for power within the party developed with those Poles who had taken charge of the party on the spot. This struggle appears to have spread to all levels of the party organisation.
