ENDED AT LAST
EUROPE'S NIGHTMARE
MR. ATTLEE ON FUTURE
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, August 29. "The nightmare of totalitarianism has been lifted off Europe, but it is vitally important that there should not be a vacuum left in its place," said Mr. C. R. Attlee, when addressing the Free Danish Movement, which disbanded today. "Unless something replaces it, we may get seven other devils worse than the one before.
"The political and social freedom for which Britain and Denmark stand are ideals which must be set before the people of Europe."
