FIGHTING POLICY SEEN
WASHINGTON, August 25. President Truman has appointed Mr. Spruille Braden as Assistant Secretary of State un charge of Latin American affairs in succession to Mr. Nelson Rockefeller, who handed in his resignation on August 13. The "New York 'Herald Tribune's" Washington correspondent says this forecasts a two-fisted American policy against the military dictatorship in Argentina. The appointment took on added significance when the Secretary of State, Mr. James Byrnes, announced that it would be Mr. Braden's duty to carryon with unremitting vigour the poli* dies he had courageously sponsored at Ambassador in Argentina*
