Wanganui College Old Girls.

Old girls of Wanganui College are reminded of the buffet tea to be. held on Monday evening in the ; Englishspeaking Union rooms. Airman Relates Adventure's. The women's section of the Wellington North electorate •of the National Party entertained a large number of guests in the club lounge on Thursday. The speaker, Mr. Frank Greenaway, gave a graphic description of his experiences in the R.A.F., his capture, and r#.ibsequent escape aided by French peasants. Pianoforte solos by Mrs. H. E. Perrett and songs by Mrs. Howard Grant made a delightful musical programme. Hospital Guides' Company. Four patients at the Waikato Hospital, who, owing to physical handicaps, are unable to attend ordinary meetings of Girl Guide companies, were enrolled as Post Guides at a ceremony which Guides and Rangers from the different Hamilton companies attended. These Post Guides are the first of a company which is to be attached to the Waikato Hospital, with Miss Noeline Hudson as their captain. Keen interest is being taken in the company by the sisters and nurses of the hospital. Miss D. E. Menzies, matron of the hospital, said that by giving the girls an outside interest the Guides were giving them true occupational therapy. After the ceremony the nurses showed the Guides around the hospital and nurses' quarters.
