MRS. GEORGE ANYON.
The death occurred recently of Mrs. George Anyon at the age of 80. Mrs. Anyon was born in Nelson in 1865, being the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Johnson, Collingwood Street, Nelson, who were early settlers of that city. Mrs. Anyon left Nelson at the . age of 21 to be married, and spent her married life in the North Island, except for a short period in Australia, .and .England. .!■ Throughout the war years she made many comforts for the soldiers and sailors. Her unfailing" patriotism and sympathy have.been an.inspiration to .large numbers "of her friends. ; Her Husband, the late. Mr.. George Anyon,. predeceased her eight years ago. She is survived by two sons. Messrs; P. B. Anyon and H. S. Anyon, both of Wellington, and three daughters, tKe Misses Eleanor, Elsie, and Alice' Anyon; of Island Bay.
