ACCOUNTANTS' CONVENTION

The council of the New Zealand Society of Accountants proposes to hold a convention at Christchurch during the last week of February next year. Well-qualified men will be invited to prepare papers on "Presentation of Accounts of Public Companies," "Accountancy Trends and Modern Developments in Auditing Practice Overseas," "Public Accounts," "Responsibilities of Trustees and Apportionment of Profits," "Post-war Economic Trends." There will be a presidential address on "Accountants' Duties and Responsibilities to the Public." The conventions are usually held at intervals of five years. The last one was in Wellington in February, 1940.
