LARGE BISCUIT CONTRACT
P.A. DUNEDIN, June 22. Though no official announcement has yet been made, it is understood that New Zealand manufacturers have been given a further contract for a large quantity of service biscuits for the Allied forces overseas, and that production will begin immediately. It is expected that a generous percentage of this contract will be executed by biscuit manufacturers in Otago and Southland provinces, and that the arrangement of 'additional shifts will be entailed. The new contract should give a stimulus to the industries which contribute in a subsidiary way to the requirements of the biscuit trade.
