STRATHMORE PARK SCHOOL
In a letter received at this week's meeting of the Wellington Education Board the Director of Education (Dr. C. E. Beeby) stated that the Minister of Education had approved in principle of the erection of a four-roomed block for a school on the level area at Strathmore Park. While the hillside proposal would conserve to a greater degree the available flat ground for playground purposes, the proposal for the school on the flat would be less costly and'would result in the provision of a building more suited to the needs of young children. It appeared desirable that the school should be established as a side school to Miramar South, taking pupils up to Standard I.
