FIRE AT KARORI
At 2.54 a.m. today a call was received by the Central Fire Brigade to a fire in a house owned and occupied by Mr. H. J. Kearney at 24 Beauchamp Street. Karori. Three machines at-, ■tended, one from Central, one from Tharndon, and one from Northland. The brigade made a good save, but severe damage was done to the washhou=e and kitchen area. The rest ot the 'ion^c sufi'ored from thick smoke.
