WITHDRAWAL OF JAPANESE
Rec. 9 a.m. CHUNGKING, May 25.
A Chinese military spokesman reported that the Japanese had withdrawn three divisions from Hunan, Honan, and Kwangsi Provinces. Some had moved to Manchuria, others to points on the east coast. Units of the Japanese 18th and 54th Divisions, which had been withdrawn from Burma through Indo-China, had been observed in Central China.
