REPATRIATION PLAN
HUGE CAMPS ESTABLISHED (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) Rec. 1.20 p.m. ' LONDON, May 24. The greatest repatriation plan in history, involving 2,500,000 persons, was put into operation on Wednesday as a result of a conference between SHAEF and the Soviet military authorities 'near Liepzig, says Reuters correspondent. One and a half million Russians in western Europe have begun to move home, and simultaneously 975,000 western Europeans and Americans started their journeys towards their own countries, the latter including 15,000 to 20,000 American and 25,000 to '30,000 British prisoners of war interned in the zone which the Russians overran. All means of transport, including aeroplanes, are being used, and huge camps* have been established along the routes. . ' ■
