That a Special Loan of Forty Thousand pounds (£40,000) to be known as the Wellington City New Office Building Loan 1942 be raised in New Zealand by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of the provision, of Office accommodation to replace buildings damaged by earthquake. 2. That ths rate of interest on the said loan ehall be Three pounds five shillings (£3 ss) per centum per annum payable half-yearly on the first day Of March and on the first day of September in each year during the currency of the said special loan being a period of twenty (20) years from the first day of September 1945. 3. That a sinking fund be established in connection with the said special loan by setting apart annually during the currency of the said special loan a sum of Two thousand seven hundred and fifty-two pounds fourteen shillings (£2752 14s) for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of debentures to be issued and for the payment of interest on all sums owing from time to time on the. said debentures so issued and that the Council shall pay annually to the Sinking Fund Commissioners as a contribution during the currency of the said loan the said sum of Two thousand seven hundred and fifty-two pounds fourteen shillings (£2752 14s) reduced in each case by a sum equal to the amount of interest payable during each year ending on the first day of September during the currency of the said special loan. 4. That the security for the interest sinking fund and other charges and repayment of the said special loan be a special rate of Thirtythree eight-hundredths of a penny (33-800(1) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of ths unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington. 5. That the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and that no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund snail be paid out of loan money. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary nleeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on Wednesday, June 13, 1945, at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba St., Wellington.
