General Mac Arthur's communique says that the 24th Division continued its rapid northward drive on Mindanao, advancing 11 miles along Dayao Gulf, overrunning the Darong air strip and reaching Dallas airfield, six miles frlrT the Vsouth the hold on. the Digos airfield area was expanded by a sevenmile advance and the seizure of MalaTorf TJcIV The routine bombing of Formosa continued. Heavy units continued the neutralisation of bases in Borneo Medium and fighter-bombers attacked Tarakan.
