NAZI BALTIC GARRISON

LONDON, February 27. News is given tonight of a Russian threat to split in two the straggling German Baltic garrison east, of the Oder on a front of about 180 miles. This is mainly in German Pomerania. Marshal Stalin reveals that" troops of Marshal Rokossovsky's command have broken through the defences of Pome.rania from the Polish Corridor, and in four days have advanced 45 miles along one of the highways reaching tne Baltic midway between Danzig and Stettin. They have taken three towns.
The most distant of these, Bublitz, is just 30 miles from the coast. Two other towns captured are on the way to Neustettin.
