WHEAT YIELD DOWN
NEW SOUTH WALES FIGURES Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY, December 6. The final official forecast of the New South Wales wheat crop for 1944-45 is 17,978,000 bushels, or only 36 per cent of the average of five seasons up to 1943-44. The forecast is made by the State Department of Agriculture. The' 1943-44 season yield was 47.500,000 bushels, and the average for the five years ended with the 1943-44 season was 49,636,000 bushels.
