GERMAN LOSSES

SIX MONTHS' TOTAL

Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. Germany has lost more than three million fighting men in the past six months, according to an official statement made today by Colonel Chassin, Director of French Military Information, says Reuters SHAEF correspondent. This terrific bloodshed, he said, corresponds to four or five conscription calls. He listed the losses as 1,150,000 each in France and Russia, and 300,000 in Italy. Germany has also lost the services of over 700,000 satellite soldiers, most of whom have not only dropped the German cause but are fighting beside the Allies. Germany's strength in divisions has been reduced from 460 six months ago to only 290.
