SEASONAL LABOUR

POSITION AT NELSON

O.C. NELSON, This Day. The man-power authorities do not anticipate any difficulty this year in finding the necessary labour for seasonal industries. All vacancies for raspberry picking have been filled, and no more workers are required for" January. There is, however, a definite need for female tobacco workers who are prepared to start work immediately or early in January, and remain for at least three months. The labour requirements of orchardists are not yet known, but it is expected that numbers of female orchard workers will be required from mid-Feb-ruary onwards. There will be a definite need for hop pickers from approximately February 25.
