FILLY BRINGS 15,000GS
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) Rec. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. A record price for two-year-olds sold by auction was established at the Newmarket . bloodstock sales today, when Mrs. F. Nagle bought the filly Carpatica (by Hyperion from Campanula) for 15,000g5. Trainer Fred Darling paid 7300gs for I the three-year-old Monsoon (by Umidwar from Heavenly Wind), nvho rani second in the Oaks and fourth in the St. Leger. An Irish breeder paid 5100gs for the three-year-old Orestes (by Donatello II from Orison), who was unbeaten last season, but disappointed this year. The Aga Khan sold the two-year-old Baman (by Bahram from Una) for 5000gs to Miss Dorothy Paget, who paid 4000gs for Clarendon, a halfbrother to Sun Chariot, as a yearling and sold him today for 140gs.
